Compound Future

Subject + IR (Present Tense) + VERB (Infinitive)
The compound future in Portuguese is formed by the verb IR in the present tense and the main verb in the infinitive form.
→ Present Tense of verb IR (to go)

→ Time expressions:
– Em 2020
– Um dia
– Amanhã
– Depois de amanhã
– Na próxima semana / Na semana que vem
– No próximo mês / No mês que vem- No próximo ano / No ano que vem
→ Examples:
- No ano que vem eu vou estudar português todos os dias.
- Em 2020 a gente vai fazer atividades físicas três vezes por semana.
- No próximo ano nós vamos viajar mais!
- Os Yeppers vão aprender português.
→ Sentences in the negative form:
- Eu NÃO vou desistir dos meus sonhos.
- A gente NÃO vai ser pessimista.
